11.30.2018 – Investors buy Amfuel with Approval from U.S. Bankruptcy Court
MAGNOLIA, ARK. – LB Advisors and Jet Capital completed the purchase of the assets from the prior entity forming the “new” American Fuel Cell and Coated Fabrics Company, LLC (Amfuel) located in Magnolia, Arkansas. Prior to the new ownership, the company suffered from decades of neglect and mismanagement and survived with barely a skeleton crew to fulfill manufacturing contracts, many for the U.S. Department of Defense. Amfuel’s previous owner filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017. The new owners plan investments that will return Amfuel to its industry leading position of on-time-delivery, quality and innovation to support the warfighter.
American Fuel Cell and Coated Fabrics Company, LLC (Amfuel) is the premier manufacturer of self‐sealing and crash resistant fuel cells for aviation and defense, support services and liquid logistic solutions. Fuel cells are specialized fuel bladders for fixed wing and vertical lift aircraft, and ground vehicles. Liquid logistic bladder solutions range in size from 5,000 gallon transportable to 1,000,000 gallon embankment tanks.
